"There's much more than a wrench to keep an engine running.
Passion, connection, and adrenaline fuel the freedom of tire and pavement.
The combustion of an engine doesn't just lead to victory or defeat, it sparks community. "
In the last decade, some of the most radical and transformative changes have occured in the world of automotive technology. These changes, overtime, will eventually make an impact on the relationship between man and motor.
“Genuine Motors” is the first part of a larger series that sheds light on the rich and beautiful connections manifested within motor culture. This work explores communities and relationships created with motors from day-to-day interactions to intimate communities in the 21st century.
When put into a photographic context, the work conveys recurring visions of joy, determination, and the importance of influence that an automobile can have on a human being or community.
Work in progress, expected to release early 2020.
